Its great to be back home. I reached here on sunday and have been enjoying my sweet home totally since then. Not only the comforts of home, i'm also enjoying the satsangs and seva activities here in Delhi.... i really miss all this a lot in Dhanbad...
Day before yesterday, i attended Dr. Manikantan's satsang in Dwarka. Needless to say, the satsang was mesmerizing, blissful, awsome, amazing, fabulous and what not??? I'm short of adjectives.... Seriously, it was one of the best satsangs i have ever attended. It started off with some "Guru Om" chantings and then Shilpika ji sang some melodious songs.( I had stayed at Shilpika ji's place at time of doing seva for Utsah Dwarka, but i never knew that she sang so well). Finally Dr. Manikantan came and sang bhajans which i had never heard before. Nor could i understand the lyrics properly. Still i was enjoying and even started to dance when finally some known rocking bhajan was being sung. It was amazing. Then, while dancing, Abhishek told me that the one dancing with us there, next to me, was Mahesh Giri ji, the person whom Guruji had predicted to be the future P.M. of India. I was unable to believe it. He was dancing with us so freely that it became difficult to believe that he's such a big politician. Finally, in between the satsang, he was called to speak regarding the upcoming elections and then he shared some really good knowledge with all of us and appealed to VOTE FOR CHANGE.
One of the stories that i really liked in his speech was:-
Once there was a king who was going for hunting in a jungle. On his way, he found a field, full of mango trees. He thought of plucking a mango from there. Then he realized that he should first take permission from the farmer to whom the field belongs. But then his ego came in between and he thought that he was the King who needs no permission for doing anything in his kingdom and so he finally plucked the mango and moved on for hunting in the jungle. Later, on his way back from the forest, he found a barren land instead of the mango tree field. He was shocked to see this and asked a saint sitting there about this. The saint told him that the mango tree field has been destroyed due to him. When he plucked one fruit from the tree, seeing him his ministers plucked 10 each and seeing the ministers, the army chiefs plucked 50 fruits each and finally seeing the army chiefs, all the warriors plucked 100 mangoes each. Consequently, the green mango tree field is now a piece of barren land. The King felt very guilty and realized the importance of his position in the kingdom. He learnt how his one small mistake can affect the whole kingdom tremendously. He thanked the saint and pledged to never repeat such mistakes.
Followed by the story, there was a very nice and beautiful meditation, with flute being played in the background and then finally “Jai Jai Radha Raman...” was sung, marking the end of the satsang. And then after touching Dr. Manikantan's feet i talked to all my friends whom i was meeting after such a long time- Ramya, Abhishek, Jayati, Divya, Swati, Abhinav, Vishakha, Kshitij, Priyam, Hitanshi, Shalin Bhaiya......
It was really so much fun... i’ll always miss such amazing evenings of music, happiness and belongingness in Dhanbad.....
Bye.
