Reflections-2009

Reflections.... Seems like the name of a fest na? I'm actually pondering over this last year of my life. What a year!!! Seriously, 2009 has been the most eventful year of my life so far. I didn't realize how quickly and smoothly it passed away...

The year started in the B'lore Ashram with the completion of my first advanced course, YES!++ with Dinesh Bhaiya and is ending with the completion of another advanced course(my second) here in Janak Puri with Gaurav Bhaiya. With these two advanced courses, i'm eligible to become a Blesser(which i'll definitely become in the next two years). Between these courses, my life has been like a roller coaster ride.

In January, i went to IT-BHU to celebrate my friend Ajay's birthday and to attend their annual cultural fest. This was the time when i started blogging. Time flew fast to February when i went to Ranchi for a weekend for volunteering to organize UTSAV with Guruji there, which was followed by my brother's wedding on the most romantic day of the year, February 14. These were also the two months when i religiously followed my new year resolution of staying off-sugar and off-maida.

The mid-semesters passed in March and i was back in Delhi to celebrate Holi. This called in for breaking my new year resolution. April witnessed increase in my interest for a college society called KARTAVAYA. Then the summer vacations arrived. In May-June, i was officially doing my training in WCL, Nagpur. But actually, i was in Delhi the whole time(except a week or so... training certi laane k liye mine manger ko shakl to dikhaani thi na?? :-)
In Delhi, i spent most of my time having loads of fun while organizing courses in various parts of Delhi. This brought back some of the old daant-fatkar from home which had been lost since i had moved to hostel. :-p

Life became extremely busy with the commencement of college in July. Within no time, i found myself pre-occupied with lot of volunteer work for college societies KARTAVAYA and BLOOD LINE. This was when i realized my passion for volunteer work. In Delhi, it was mainly for ART OF LIVING but now i had expanded my seva to other organizations as well. This semester also saw me watching movies and TV series like never before. I was unable to realize how i could get time for each and everything apart from studies :)

During my mid-sems in September, i found myself overloaded with Kartavaya work and i decided to reduce my load after DP vacations(Sept-Oct), during which i went to Andaman Islands with my family. Had lots of fun there. Semester continued with ISM-IIT Campaign, excursions and project works. In the end, i improved a little in my studies before the end-semester exams in November.

In December i organized a Blood Donation Camp and a Nukkad Nakat on 1st December(World AIDS Day), which was my biggest contribution to Blood Line. Finally after another set of excursions and viva-voce exams by the department, i returned home to Delhi, where my winter training was waiting for me. Though that also turned out to be just a fomality. We(me and my friend Rajan) had to go just 2-3 times a week. So i could take out time for repeating YES!+ with Bawa and also for the advanced course as i mentioned earlier.

Finally at the end of the year, my life at home seems to have gone back two years to the time of constant arguments with parents and their usual cribbing about me and my behaviour. I'm organizing a YES!+ from 11th Jan in Vikas Puri. Feels so normal!

Yes, i'm in total bliss after the advanced course and fully enthused and charged up about life. Come on....lets rock 2010!!!
